Up for grabs today is a set of two handmade-by-me potholders, made using Hometown fabric, by Sweetwater for Moda. These are very thick, with two layers of Insul-Bright heat resistant batting, so they would also make great pads for placing hot dishes on the dinner table.

I'm on a Husqvarna Viking Daisy.
Boy can I relate to the rotating "craft of choice!" I sew on a pretty basic Elna -- not a lot of bells and whistles but she is a solid well made machine!
I have a Quilt Designer, a Platinum 750, a Featherweight named Flossie who is 65 years young and a little Gem
I have a Donna machine, a little old one.
lauramdd(at)terra(dot)es

Thanks for the chance to win.
I sew on a Pfaff and am getting (hopefully) the Quilters Expression from Pfaff for Christmas!
Looking forward to looking around your cute blog some more.
I have a Singer and she's a simple but reliable girl. She's been jokingly named "Chugger" by my kids because she chugs along while they learn how to sew.
I have a singer brilliance named Penelope. We have a love/hate relationship (because I'm a beginner). Love the potholders!!!
Kcannon417(at)gmail(com)
I use a basic Janome, though someone just gifted me a fancy computerized embroidery machine by Husqvarna with a billion attachments. I have no clue how to even sew a straight line with the thing...
The potholders are fantastic! Great color combo. I use a Husqvarna Rose. I love it, even though its getting old. Still runs great!
i use the pfaff 2045 machine. i found it a little intimidating at first but we have grown to love each other.
I love your hot pads!! My machine is a Memory Craft 7000 by New Home. It is a hand me down from my Grandma, though she's missed it ever since!
I use a Kenmore because that is what my husband bought me for Christmas a few years ago. Before that I had a beginner's Brother machine because my dad bought it for me for my birthday because my sister told him to because she couldn't sew anymore and was living vicariously through me. So even if I never wanted to sew I got pushed into it and I love it. My Kenmore is pretty awesome.
I use a Janome memory 4400 and I LOVE it!!!
~Brandy @ mrnmrsfish@gmail.com
Thanks for the fun giveaway! I sew on a Janome DC3050 and a Singer featherweight. I love my Janome!
Such pretty potholders! I just got a 1924 Singer 99. :) It's been fun.
I collect machines. I mostly use my brother, but I also have a 1950's singer that is awesome for quilting, an industrial machine that could sew through fence boards if I wanted it to, and my most recent acquisition a 70's New Home I picked up for $10.

i sew on a kenmore machine and LOVE it. my husband bought it for me 2 christmases ago and it was the best gift ever!

The potholders are great, and I could totally use them after a recent incident in which the husband set one of my crocheted ones on fire...
I use a Shark 384 sewing machine that I got at a garage sale for $15. The teenage girl I bought it from had purchased it brand new for her sewing class, and used it only for a few months, so it was like new. I absolutely love it - it's nothing fancy, but it's perfect for me!
those are super cute! I would love to include them in my kitchen *wink* I have a Singer 4423 Heavy Duty machine. it's great!
I have a Brother, but I don't know the model number. Yikes! I'm a bad sewing machine mother!

I sew on a Janome 10001.

I have a Singer sewing machine and a Brother serger; love them both! :)
Fingers crossed I win your giveaway because the fabrics you used would match my kitchen, perfectly! Thanks for mentioning the name of the line... I'm headed to fabric.com as soon as I finish this comment to see if I can purchase some!
Best,

daydreambelievershop {at} gmail {dot} com
I use a ghetto old-school Singer. It's kinda jankety, but it gets the job done! Thanks for the nice giveaway, and Happy Holidays!
I have a "Brother XL2600I Sew Advance Sew Affordable 25-Stitch Free-Arm Sewing Machine" though I'm such a terribly novice sewer that I can't even sew straight lines! LOL It's why I covet beautiful sewn items from people who are better at it than I am! ;)

I just got a new sewing machine as an early Christmas gift. It is a Janome HD1000 (formerly Threadbanger). I love it so far!!
I sew on a Janome MC10000. But I still have the $50 Brother I started on, a 1951 Singer Centennial, and a Necchi. Because you never know when you'll need four sewing machines.
I have a Husqvarna Viva. I have put in a request to Santa for a new Jacome...LOL! Thank you for a great giveaway!
I love those potholders! They are SO cheerful! Mine are dull and dirty, despite frequent washing.
I have a Singer, but it was a hand-me-down from my mom.

I have a Janome.. it's has a few fancy stitches on it, but I can't tell you the model of it.. we aren't currently talking to each other = we were arguing about stitching & well, the Janome won!! (So I walked off in a huff!!)
I use a pfaff hobymatic 919 that I bought when I was 14 years old. I had carefully saved up all my babysitting money for two years to buy it, and it's still going strong 16 years later.
I have a Brother as well.
Thanks!
Oh, the pot holders are fantastic! I got a Janome Horizon this summer, and can I be in love with a sewing machine?
Beautiful! Mine's a Singer.
I have a Brother "Boutique" Its a 1952 model, given to me by my Grandmother weeks before she passed away, I think about her every time I sit at that machine, lately thats daily.
I have a basic Janome machine, it's a workhorse and I love it!
Beautiful potholders. Yesterday (literally!) I bought myself a new machine! A Husqvarna Sapphire 835. Before that I had a huskystar 215 (again, Husqvarna)

Love the potholders.
I sew on a Brother Laura Ashley.
I have a Bernina Active 230 which my husband bought me for Christmas several years ago--I love it!
Those potholders are pretty! Santa brought me a Janome 6600 five years ago.
A singer machine that is probably about 30 years old. She's heavy, but reliable. wouldn't part with her.
Those potholders would add a lot to the vintage decor I am trying to establish! I have a Brother Project Runway Special Edition
I like these potholders! I would love to win them. I have two sewing machines, a Singer that's about 30 years old, and a Bernina that is slightly older- I bought it at a garage sale for $75.
I have a Kenmore 19233. ANd I could really use some new potholders!
Your potholders are so pretty. I am sEwing with a Bernina that I got from my mom in exchange for my old Kenmore. Tserrao at gmail dot com.

For a beginner quilter, I have a PFAFF QE4, but I probably sew more than I quilt.
I love this fabric line and the pot holders are beautiful. I have a bernina and I also use my old 1939 singer. Just alternating between them depending on what I would like to do.
I have a 25 year old Kenmore I paid $500 for which at the time was a LOT of money to spend on myself!
I love the metal body but the one my daughter got at target probably sews better. :0
A Janome that I inherited from my mother-in-law. It is special to me.
I don't even remember what kind I have, but I'm pretty sure it's a Kenmore. I read lots of reviews and it fit my budget and needs and I'm very happy with it.

It's a Brother machine. Thanks for the giveaway!
heidster7@hotmail.com
I was using my grandmother-in-laws old Singer, but it's been having bobbin issues, so I switched over to my older Janome machine - and it sewed well today for me. Thanks for a chance to win the cool hot pads! :)
I recently switched from a VERY old singer to a Viking- I really like the new machine!
beth(dot)sebastian(at)gmail(dot)com

I use a Singer-- *classic!* Thanks for this beautiful giveaway! My husband and I are just starting out, so this would be a great addition to our new home! cthompson4(at)liberty(dot)edu
Adorbs...love those freakin colors. I am soooo sooo lucky to have Bernina 440 QE. Thanks!
I use a mid to low priced Brother, and really like it. A few weeks ago my son's girlfriend found the exact same model at a thrift shop, brand new with every attachment - so I gifted my old machine to my niece who is a SAHM and wants to learn to sew, and have had no trouble adjusting to the 'new' machine, hahahahaha
barzi10091(at)aol.com
I have a singer from the 40s and a kenmore from the 70s.
those are totally made for our kitchen! i sew on a brother i got for christmas two years ago.
I have an 11 year old Singer that my parents got for me for a wedding present. I doubt they had any idea that I would save hundreds of dollars using it over the last 11 years to alter my husband's navy uniforms. My mom just knew that I was leaving behind her sewing machine and she had decided, after 20 years of not being used by anyone but me, that she was going to start sewing and wouldn't part with hers. I don't know what I would do without my machine. I use it all the time (and not just for uniforms, thank goodness, as that would be incredibly monotonous).
I have a Brother 420PC, and I dream about Berninas. parthena@wollen.com
Cool thanks for the chance to win! I just got a Janome DC1050 and am LOVING it!
Have a nice day,
A
I sew primarily on a Babylock
loreew at pacbell dot net
I sew on an old Singer. Not very insightful, I know. I'm jealous of the smanchy-sounding machines, but mine does the trick! Love the pot holders!
-Samarra (info@samarrakhaja.com)
Thank you for the chance to win your gorgeous potholders - so love Hometown.
I use a Bernina Aurora 430 and I am very happy with it!
thanks again, Cat
I have a really basic, really old Brother machine
majorasue(at)hotmail(dot)com
I have a pretty pink pfaff. :D
Thank you for the giveaway, the potholders are stunning!
Congratulations on your first year of participating! I hope you get a million comments, and have a lot of fun. :)
I use a Singer 4166. It's a standard, household-duty machine that I've tortured by making it do the work of an industrial-use machine. I mean, it runs for hours every day. Poor thing. It's starting to get twitchy now, but that's what I get for abusing it.
I have a singer
Those are beautiful!!
I use a Bernina 145.
I have a basic Brother BM3600
I have been sewing on a Bernina 153 QE for about 6 years, and I love it. Recently, I bought 2 vintage Singers, a Featherweight and a 301 which I am eagerly wanting to try out.

Love those! And could really use them! I use an awesome vintage Bernina - 830 model, handed down from my mother-in-law.
I use a Brother machine that I borrowed from my mother in law. One day I hope to own my own machine.
Just my colors.
I have a Bernina quilters edition, great!!
These are Gorgeous! I use a Kenmore. It was a gift from the parents of one of my husbands students years ago. It has served me well.
Those are wonderful, I would love to win them! I upgraded my 25 year old Singer to a Janome Horizon last year.
Unfortunately, I do not have a sewing machine right now. I am hoping to buy one very soon though. The last one that I owned was my mom's old Singer. I'm not sure what brand I will buy yet. I have to do some research.
After a tough semester of college, I sold back my old textbooks and went straight to Walmart. I got the only one I could afford- a Brother that only does straight and zigzag and I can't even drop the feed dogs. But it has sewn A LOT and served me well. I spent that summer teaching myself to quilt and sew, and many years later that machine is still getting the job done!
I use an old singer that used to be my grandmas :) My grandpa bought it for her when she really wanted a Bernina since it was less expensive (so typical of him haha) so it got passed on to me when she finally got her Bernina!
I have an Elna Heirloom Edition I purchased after I retired 8 years ago. I love it. Your potholders are beautiful.
thanks.
Pat K.
tkelley5(at)charter(dot)(net)
I have a 30 year old Kenmore - can't wait to get a new machine one of these days. I've been eyeing a Janome 6600.

I sew on a Janome. I love it. And my singer is a pfaff.
Love the potholders!
nancebagance at yahoo dot ca
These potholders would fit right in to my kitchen! I'm a rookie sew-er on a cheapy machine that my sweet husband bought for my birthday. As my skills improve, I will be on the lookout for something higher quality.
I have a 15 year old singer...I think it was a school model. It does what I need it to do.
sntbosch@msn.com
I use a Bernina 1031. 15 years old and still sewing strong.
I just bought a new brother with 100 stitches!! Replaced a 35 yo Kenmore.
Thanks for the great giveaway!

kjkoukla(athotmail...
i have a brother ..cant seem to remember the model number off hand..:) raineoc@yahoo.com
I have a Babylock Serenade... love it!
Great question! I use a Janome DC2007LE. It's awesome and does everything I need it to. It was a present from my husband because I had been using an old Kenmore from the 70s. :)
Right now I have an Kenmore with 52 stitches... but it was a starter machine that I am hoping to upgrade soon!I have outgrown it
Up until recently I was using a very cheap europro. When that died my mom helped me get a bernina 380. They are like night and day! Sewing has become so much easier!
I love your potholders!
I sew on a Brother Innovis 900. It`s a very small but functional machine. You also can stitch little images with it. The machine is absolutely reliable and has lots of extras. But: she`s to small for quilting. That`s why I save money for the Janome Horizon (dream!).
Have fun with these Giveaway days!
Silke
schellersilke@web.de
Brother PC-420. It's awesome!
I have a Huskystar machine.
I simply adore Hometown! My machine is a Janome 625E Sewist, and I love it. It has all of the nicer features in a little less [expensive] machine!
I sew on a Janome Gem - it's the most basic of the Janomes but it gets (most) jobs done. When I need something more involved, I see out my friend's Husquvarna!
Thank you for the lovely giveaway. I use a Janome 2200XT and I love it! Had it a year now and it hasn't failed me yet.
I have a basic Bernina in storage in NZ. Unfortunately I can't use it here in the US because the power system is different... so I have an ancient unidentified machine bought cheap from a friend.
I have a Singer - something like an easy quilter...can't remember the exact name. Free motion quilting, etc. Don't love it...just being honest. Seems to have timing issues frequently, but not sure if I just got unlucky or not. Only had it a little over a year. Other than the timing issues, it seems to work really well, but I've never had a fancy schmancy, so I'm probably not the best person to ask:)
Great pot holders...thanks for the chance!

I use a a brother XL 2610 not a super nice one but it is a work horse for me. Thank you.
