I had a crazy blogger scare today. I had my blog up this morning, all was running as usual. Next thing I know, when refreshing my blog page, I am told that my blog has been removed!! Well I can tell you only one thing for sure, I didn't remove it!
So I started looking into things and going through the vast confusion that is blogger's help forums. I submitted a request (I think? it was about as clear as mud as to what I should do...), saw that this apparently happens to many people on a regular basis, then carried on with my morning.
Only about a half hour later, all was up and running as though nothing had happened. What????? I do not think that they actually fixed it in that time - there are so many messages on that forum, and mine had not even been read. It seems like it was some kind of a blip, but it did feel awfully hacker/spam like. Not a good feeling!!
The lovely Krista suggested that I back up my blog, which I proceeded to do (and suggest all of you do too!) and am thankful for her suggestion because it did not occur to me to do so. I backed up my blog posts and my blog template. I also changed my Google account password.
I do not know if there's anything else I need to do, or if I just carry on. I received a comment from Sharon, who said she is going to pass the word on, and I think that's a good idea. We all need to be reminded to back-up our important stuff once in a while.

I have since backed up my templates, but need to double check my posts!!!
I had the exact thing happen to me a while back. It was a very long 30 minutes or so!!!

I've only been blogging a month or so, and really appreciate your letting me know about backing up my blog. It never occured to me! I have a lot to learn about blogging.
I'm glad everything got fixed! I was trying to comment on one of your posts yesterday when your blog was blippy, and I was confused since your posts were still showing up in my reader. :}
Oh my gosh, I promise you I would have had a heart attack! Good for you for not freaking out (like I would have done)!
