Scraps attack again {last time for now!}

I've depleted my scrap supply enough now that I don't know if there's enough left to make even another baby quilt. This one mainly used scraps from Sixteen Sparkles, but also has bits of Chrysalis and bits of the apron that I made for my sister for Christmas.

{finished size - 30" x 34"}

I could get this basted and quilted pretty quickly except that I don't have backing fabric yet. I was hoping to find a cute bed sheet for the purpose this morning when we were out doing errands, but at the store I was at all I found was cotton/poly blends that seemed really cheap and thin. But once I do find a backing, I will be quilting it in the same style as the quilt that inspired this one. I love it! So crisp and clean looking.

Great quilt, Heather! I love zigzags, and the quilting on your inspiration quilt is fabulous. Now that your scraps are being depleted what's next?

This is really sweet! I'm kind of jealous that your scraps are almost depleted.

Love this! I already have some scraps cut into strips that would be perfect for this! Thanks for the idea!

that's so pretty Heather! And the quilting is going to be perfect!

How do you like working with sheets for the backing? I've never tried it before but thought I might look for some at ikea next time I'm in Van.

nice! must be fun to get a whole new project out of the leftovers from others. i like using thrifted sheets too, it's way hard for me to use my pretty, uber expensive fabric for the back of a quilt... although i suppose it might not last as long that way? i dunno. good luck finding a backing!

This is another great scrappy finish! I can't believe how many projects you have been able to complete using these prints. :) Ok, so you've convinced me that I should go finish my scrappy top now so that I have something to enter as well!
