I looked back in my blog to see when I last did a Wednesday post, and it's been more than a month! I didn't get a whole ton done, sewing-wise, over the holidays but I'm slowly getting back in the groove now.
First off, a family passport wallet (yes, another one!) that I haven't shown yet. I gave it to my friend this week so I can finally show it on the blog. I used leftovers from the Fussy Fairytales quilt that I had made for her daughter, along with some bits of Kona Ash (gray interior) and Sweetwater Reunion (for the strap). I really like how it turned out, but now I am officially on a break from making these!! haha
In progress we still have the Brrr! quilt. The top is completely finished now (this photo was taken prior to sewing the Kona Iron to my disappearing 9-patch panel), and I have batting, but still need to find some backing. I'm strongly considering doing a minky or fleece backing but am still trying to get up the nerve to try it!
Again using leftovers from the Fussy Fairytales quilt, this week I started a baby girl quilt. And since I don't know anyone having babies these days, the finished quilt will go in my shop. I wanted to use just the Pretty Little Things fabric without adding a solid, just so I could use up as much of it as I can, and I'm still going to have leftovers! The wonky cross design was a lot of fun, quick and easy. I used this tutorial.
That's about all that's going on in my world at the moment. It feels good to get sewing again.
