My first time using a jelly roll - I chose to follow this strip tube quilt tutorial from "A Bright Corner".
Fabrics: Sweetwater Pure jelly roll, Kona Snow background
Finished size: 50" x 70"
Unrolling and sorting the jelly roll was a lot of fun! I was a bit delusional about the concept of a jelly roll though, as I thought it meant that the quilt would make itself! So......I was a bit wrong about that, and it actually still took quite a bit of work! hehe
The wind was blowing fairly strong as I attempted to photograph the finished top early this evening, but it was actually kind of fun to see it flapping in the breeze as I waited, patiently, to take these few photos.
I struggle a bit with my camera, achieving accurate colours - things tend to be a bit on the "blue" side as it is, then a quilt top with a fair bit of blue fabric and photos taken early evening do not help the situation! You get the idea though, right?
I still intend to add a 2" border of Kona Snow around all edges, and will use some of the leftover jelly roll strips for binding.

Your quilt looks awesome. Love it swaying in the breeze there!
Great quilt! I'm very partial to flapping in the breeze shots!
I love how that turned out. It's gorgeous. The photos look great to me. ;)
What an awesome quilt!! I love the look of the smaller triangles inside the larger ones! Nesting geese!!
I so love this quilt! How many jelly rolls did you use?
You've accomplished a lot since Wednesday. I am to be honest not a big fan of jelly rolls in general but I get the idea for this block. I (still) think your quilt is lovely - I always had a soft spot for Pure. Made my very first quilt with this fabric line.
It's so pretty, Heather.
Very soothing, love these colors together!
It's lovely! Very calm, even when fluttering in the wind. :)
Your quilt looks fabulous! :o)
Wow, your quilt looks gorgeous! I also love your swoon quilt in your header. Just lovely.
It's simply gorgeous! My favorite shot is when it's flapping in the wind. Beautiful photos, thank you for sharing! Found you through amylouwho's linky!
It looks really good, Heather! I've never made a jelly roll quilt either!
So pretty! I love the idea of using extra jelly roll strips for binding.

This is beautiful. One of the best I've seen with this collection: )
Ooooh, I love how it turned out! Good idea to save back a few strips for the binding.
