W.I.P. Wednesday

It's been quite a productive week for me so I figure a proper W.I.P. Wednesday post is in order.  First up, I have had a couple of finishes this week.

This is the "Artist Bag" made using Jeni's drawstring bag pattern, made for my 4 year old nephew to store his budding Lego collection.  It's a nice medium sized bag, perfect for a young child to tote around.  {blogged here}

I had the privilege of testing out Amber's new Family Passport Wallet design, which has now been released in her shop.  I'm also currently hosting a giveaway in which the winner will receive a copy of the pattern.  Click here for more info and to enter the giveaway!

One more small finish for this week ~ a bee block for Marian.

Progress has also been made on my summer hexagon project.  My first batch of hexies was approximately 130ish, which I sewed together into flower units and then into one big blog.  And this week I managed to crank out another 120 hexies which I'm in the process of adding on.  Ahhh, summer.  Lots of time to sit and relax and sew!

And finally, I'm bringing out my postage stamp top and am going to get it quilted.  It's the only one left on my unfinished pile, asides from the one that Chelsea is quilting for me and the granny squares, which isn't even a finished top yet.  I pressed the postage stamp top today, have the binding made, and am piecing the back tonight.  Next will be basting, my least favourite part, ugh.  But it will be a finish sometime this summer.

Happy week everyone!

I love the way the hexagons look, so cool! And I like the way you did your postage stamps. Not too overwhelming but still modern and awesome!

You HAVE been busy! Great stuff - love the bee block.

Your hexes are impressive. I'd do more but I just can't find the patience for them.... Maybe someday.

And I have yet to meet a single person who actually enjoys basting. However, your postage stamp will be amazing! Amazing. Good for you for busting through your ufos, too.

wow, everything is beautiful. You must have a lot of patience to do all those hex's and a postage stamp quilt! My hex's are still in a tupperware waiting to be loved. I REALLY need to make that lego bag for my son.

Great accomplishments, Heather!Your postage stamps will be amazing! I would have given up on hexies after doing so many. Guess that's why I don't try them!
