Merry Christmas to me!

My husband and I go back and forth year to year, sometimes we buy Christmas gifts for each other and sometimes we decide not to.  This year there were a few things that he actually wanted (not to mention his birthday is January 3!), but I told him that he didn't have to buy me anything - that I would be happier if I could just splurge on a bundle of fabric that maybe I otherwise wouldn't buy for myself.

Enter Joel Dewberry Notting Hill, which arrived in my mailbox yesterday.....

I think I'm in love people.  It's even more beautiful in person.  This is the teal/yellow colourway and the magenta/orange colourway.   And what is it going to become?  My plan is to finally make Supernova, from "Quilting Modern" by Jacquie Gering and Katie Pedersen.  I don't quite know what it is about this quilt that I love so much, though I suspect a large part of it is the amazing machine quilting, which was done by Angela Walters.  I hope I can do the quilt justice with these lovely fabrics.  I'm not ready to start yet but it's nice to have something new and beautiful to look forward to making.

{I purchased the fabric from Jennifer @ Knotted Threads.  Go support her shop, she's wonderful!}

I think you made a great choice! Both on the fabric and the design. Can't wait to see it come together!

I bought the blue/green colour way of that line, and I love it! I think that I pretty much would buy anything that has Joel Dewberry's name behind it. I'm not sure what I want to do with it yet, but I'm hoping something special!
