I've been slack on the blog lately, and I'm feeling like I might just start popping in here when I have finishes to share but otherwise most of my activity will be on Instagram (@windingbobbins). I like that it's quick, easy, doesn't take much thought, and most of you are over there anyways!! If any of you are on IG and I'm not following you yet though, let me know! That said, I have a list of finishes to share today! You might notice a theme....
First up, I finished all of the Farmer's Wife blocks a few weeks ago! My plan is to finish it in the same way that Michelle finished hers, alternating straight blocks and on-point blocks across the rows. I have ordered Kona Natural for the sashing and setting triangles and am waiting for it to arrive from Mad About Patchwork.
Not finished with the beautiful Chicopee fabric yet, while I wait for my Kona to arrive I have made a bunch of minis too. First up, these two made to surprise two generous quilting friends of mine.
Still not done, a Chicopee mug rug....
....and a pair of slippers! These were made using Ayumi's Log Cabin Slipper pattern. There were some really fiddly parts, but they were fun to make and a very straight forward pattern. If I make more of these I will try to modify the width. I do not have dainty feet, and the slippers are a bit wide even for me. I put them through the washer/dryer this afternoon which helped, but a slightly narrower slipper would be better. Overall though, super happy with them!
Hope you're all doing well!

Yay! Beautiful finishes, Heather! I love what you've done with the Chicopee line!
Chicopee is one of my favourite fabrics too. Really love all of your projects - the Farmers wife blocks are stunning and those slippers are very cute!!
Your Farmrs Wife is going to be so brilliant! I'm in love with your blocks
Your use of Chicopp has been downright lovely. EVERYTHING! Something about that line - makes everything super special! LOVE those mini quilts and am impressed with your slippers. Very fun.

All such lovely finishes Heather! I am really looking forward to seeing your FW together! It's a show-stopper!
You're like the Chicopee master! Love everything you've been making with it, especially your Farmers Wife, so awesome!
I have some Chicopee I've been dying to use up but I am scared of picking the "wrong" project for it. All of your projects look fantastic! Congratualtions on so many beautiful finishes.
Amazing - everything is all so lovely.
Wow, very impressive! Looks like you're using your Chicopee to the max. Beautiful!
I've loved seeing all the pics show up on IG, but it's really nice to see all of it in one blog post. Everything is just plain beautiful. I am loving the slippers!
I love all this Chicopee! It really shows how great a collection is when you like it more the more you see it.
I love this. And love following on instagram, I have to say I agree--much easier than blogging!! Although I mostly just post baby pics...
Wow. So so gorgeous, everything here.
How did you choose the fabrics for each of your FW blocks? I'm having a terrible time settling on which fabrics I should put in each block for my Wonderland sampler.
I just can't believe how quickly you finished up those farmers wife blocks, Heather! Your quilt is going to be gorgeous-- I think the Chicopee will look stunning with the kona sashing!
Okay, lost my train of thought after glimpsing that spam comment above... ;o)
Heather, you've outdone yourself! I'm crushing on your wonderful Chicopee creations... each and every one. I've been telling myself I don't need to buy this whole line, but after seeing your projects - who can blame me if I order some of that fabric!?! Awesome, job!
Beautiful finishes! I love your intense quilting on the minis and mug rug. I follow you on IG too. I'm at sarahkrothe if you'd like to see what I've been up to.
All of these projects are awesome. I love the Chicopee line and you really did a great job with the fabrics.
