I was surprised yesterday to receive an email from Amy, of 'Amy's Creative Side', letting me know that me and my Blogger's Quilt Festival Quilt had been nominated to be featured on her blog! I answered the interview questions, emailed them off, and lo and behold this morning already my feature was up on her website! Head over for a read if you feel so inclined. I am truly honoured.

And in other news, I have decided what to do with my fat quarter bundle (of which I now have two....I found the exact bundle while shopping the other day so now I have two fat quarters of each print, YAY!), and thanks to those of you who left suggestions on my Tuesday post.
I am going to participate in the Sparkle Quilt Along, being hosted by Megan of Canoe Ridge Creations, and Jeni of In Color Order. With the fabric I have, I should be able to make the largest size Sparkle Quilt since the instructions say that 2 sparkles can be made from 1 FQ. I'm looking forward to it, but feeling impatient as I'm not used to having to wait for the instructions to be released, week by week!

Have a wonderful weekend everyone! It's chilly here, and maaaaybe we'll be getting some snow this weekend {which I always like the thought of, but the reality sometimes not so much!}. We have very little in the plans for the weekend, asides from a soccer game tomorrow and church on Sunday, so it should be a nice relaxing few days. How about you?

congratulations on being featured, it was a great post! Look forward to seeing your progress on the QAL :)
I second it! Congrats - that was very fun seeing you featured with your lovely quilts! And I am glad you are doing the sparkle too - I think that will be perfect for your fq! We have threats of snow this weekend too. Not much planned, thank goodness & a three day weekend for me!
Congrats, Heather!!! It's wonderful seeing you featured on Amy's blog. We actually got quite a lot of snow yesterday, not much fun for all the drivers and flying, but my kids are having a blast. Have a great weekend. Oh, love your pins from Tuesday's post. Most of mine look the same, I guess it's time to get new ones.
that is an amazing honor which you greatly deserve. I can't believe you just started in 2010! Amazingly talented lady!

Congrats!!!! That is so exciting! Can't wait see your QAL creation! It's snowing here now and we are supposed to have a really cold weekend. Stay warm!
I saw your feature! So cool!
And that bundle will look great in the Sparkle pattern!
Congratulations, Heather! So exciting and well-deserved! The sparkle QAL is a great idea for those fabrics, too. What are you using for the neutral/background?
Congrats on the feature! I like the idea of the sparkle qa but I tend to fall behind and not finish things so I'm not sure about that one yet, lol! My plans for the weekend include cleaning, laundry and hexies!
