W.I.P. Wednesday

Planning for a new project......for someone very special during a really difficult time.

One test block, successfully made and the first of the "real" blocks finished (not in these fabrics, and not shown, for now)....

More to come.....

I can see the Churn dash block regaining popularity every day! I have made various sizes for two bees! It is a great block! And yours looks very pretty indeed!

That printed fabric is gorgeous - what line is it? And the humble calculator... my favourite quilting tool by far, and if I was stuck on a desert island with only my sewing machine, rotary cutter and stash, the one other tool I wouldn't want to be without!

Great fabric for your churn dash, Heather! Is that Kona iron?

Nice post about the calculation and trial block. Everyone should do that, it avoids unwanted surprises!

I love starting a new project! I always do all the math first then it's cut and sew from there.

I'm loving the modern/traditional combo in this quilt block! Looking forward to what you pair it with.
