W.I.P. Wednesday

Planning for a new project......for someone very special during a really difficult time.


One test block, successfully made and the first of the "real" blocks finished (not in these fabrics, and not shown, for now)....

I can see the Churn dash block regaining popularity every day! I have made various sizes for two bees! It is a great block! And yours looks very pretty indeed!

That printed fabric is gorgeous - what line is it? And the humble calculator... my favourite quilting tool by far, and if I was stuck on a desert island with only my sewing machine, rotary cutter and stash, the one other tool I wouldn't want to be without!

Nice post about the calculation and trial block. Everyone should do that, it avoids unwanted surprises!

I love starting a new project! I always do all the math first then it's cut and sew from there.

I've never been a big fan of the churn dash, but it looks just great in those fabrics! Hope the quilt goes together smoothly.
